Central Catholic is a group of college-aged students committed to meeting the spiritual needs of the Mount Pleasant community. The focus is on fostering authentic fellowship, and offering resources and events that provide students with physical, intellectual, and spiritual nourishment—all for the glory of God. The meetings take place every other Wednesday night at 8:00 p.m. in the lounge of St. Mary University Parish. The first meeting of the semester is scheduled for September 18, 2023.

Corpus Christi is a community event where we gather to learn more about the teachings of Jesus through guest speakers. As Corpus Christi means "the body of Christ" and celebrates the institution of the Eucharist and the Last Supper, we come together after each talk to share a meal together. Many of the events are recorded and posted to this website for others to watch and learn from these speakers if they were not able to attend.
Please come join us for a home-cooked meal and a chance to dive deeper into the Catholic Church. Corpus Christi happens every last Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. We cannot wait to see you there!
Do you want to find more ways to serve in the Mount Pleasant community? St. Mary University Parish and Central Catholic offer a broad variety of opportunities to serve the local community. These projects may include making blankets for those experiencing homelessness, serving food to those in need, organizing food and clothing drives, completing home repair projects, and much more! If you are interested in using your time and talents to serve those who are struggling in our local community, please contact Fr. Matt, at frmatt@stmarycmu.org for more information on how to help.
Sunday Supper is a weekly community event in the St. Mary’s lounge after the 5 pm Mass. It’s one of the best ways to get to know others in the community! Groups volunteer to cook the meal; anyone from the community is welcome to enjoy the meal for free after Mass! We have delicious meals like breakfast for dinner, tacos, spaghetti, casserole, soup, and anything a group feels like making! Come enjoy a great home-cooked meal in our faith-filled community!
Also: Looking for a service opportunity? You and a group of friends, or just you with the help of our Sunday supper team, can volunteer to make meals for Sunday Supper! If you are interested in helping out, please check the box on this form or the sign-up sheet below to volunteer to cook a meal!
Check your calendars! St. Mary's is hosting an Alumni Homecoming Mass on Saturday, October 12th. Join us for Mass at 9:30 a.m., followed by brunch in the lounge at 10:15 a.m. This is a wonderful time to reconnect with old friends and give thanks to God for St. Mary's role on CMU's campus! We hope to see you there!
